I once was picking zinnias in my Common Space garden early in the morning . . . still lots of dew . . and son-of-a-gun if I didn't grab a bumble bee who was doing exactly what you've photographed. It hurt like bleep.<br /><br />2. As a kid, Keith was loading baled hay during summer vacation. The baler scooped up the hay and the bumble bee colony just beneath the surface (they start low and work to the surface as the season progresses) swarmed and attacked. They stung Keith 12 times. He jumped off the hay wagon and he remembers hearing them hitting the tractor as he made his escape to the other side.
